Flea Market Finds No. 3
This is an old kitchen scale from the 1950's made by the Swiss firm, Lyssex. It's still in a perfect condition, unlike some of those being sold on the internet. It weighs up to 2 kg and is accurate to the last gram. It definitely adds some vintage charm to our kitchen decor and gives me a nice warm feeling that something precious has been saved again.

Save the Bears
I have never really wanted to collect teddy bears. I just could not resist saving them when spotting a cute one at flea markets or thrift stores. Over the years, I have built up quite a collection of them. They come from budget brands (e.g. The Bear Factory, Keel Toys, Cuddle Crew, Bukowski, Sun Kid) and none of them cost more than EUR 3.5.

If you are after quality teddy bears with jointed arms and legs and a growler, here are the best brands to choose from:
Steiff - classic German bears
Dean's - Britain's oldest teddy bear company
Boyds - collectible resin and stuffed teddy bears
Hermann Teddy - the second oldest teddy bear manufacturer in Germany
Clemens - a fantastic collection of limited edition bears
The Cotswold Bear Co. - collectors bears
Charlie Bears - collectable teddy bears from Cornwall
Canterbury Bears - a fine creation of collectable teddy bears

Flea Market Finds No. 2
Where did I get the junking bug from? Have a peek into my Mum's cupboard. That's where the answer lies. She is a real flea market, thrift store and sale junkie who religiously gets up at 5.30am every Saturday to start treasure hunting from pole position. In addition, she has a fine taste and a well-trained eye to find items with character in the heaps of junk. One of her favorite collectibles is chinaware. Aren't they lovely?

Flea Market Finds
I love flea markets, never left any with my hand empty. This time, I found a lovely ceramic jam jar with a matching oil dispenser and an oil and vinegar cruet set decorated with bright ethnic patterns (made by Villeroy & Boch). My absolute favorite though is the vintage metal enamel lunch box that can hold only a tiny portion of soup or main dish.
